Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about progress photo comparison tool
How often should I take progress photos during a 75-day challenge?
Every 2 to 4 weeks is plenty for most people, with a required snapshot on Day 1 and Day 75. Daily photos are usually a bad idea because tiny water-weight swings will make you look "worse" on a Tuesday for no real reason.
What is the best way to take consistent progress photos?
Same time of day (morning, before food and water), same lighting, same pose, same clothing or swimwear, same distance from the camera. If you can, mark a spot on the floor so your feet land in the same place each time.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere when I use this tool?
No. Every step happens in your browser using the Canvas API. The page has no upload endpoint, so your photos never touch a server, ours or anyone else's.
Can I use this for non-fitness progress photos?
Yes. It works for any two-image comparison: weight loss, hair growth, recovery, home renovations, art progress, whatever you want to put side by side.
What file formats and sizes does it support?
JPG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC (where the browser supports it). Keep each photo under 20 MB or it will get sluggish to render.
What angle and pose should I use?
Front, side, and back shots are the standard set. Pick a relaxed neutral pose for the first photo and copy that exact pose every time, otherwise the comparison gets muddied by stance, not change.
Can I download the comparison and share it on Instagram?
Yes. Hit Download to save a single PNG. The top / bottom layout is sized for Stories and Reels, and side-by-side works for feed posts.
Does the tool save my photos between sessions?
No. Refresh or close the tab and everything is gone. If you want a permanent log, the Reset75 mobile app tracks progress photos alongside your daily tasks.
